On Christmas, my lovely sister-in-law Sabrina, commented that I hadn't updated my blog since Sept. 16 (wow, I didn't know anyone was paying attention!). My bad. I don't think it's that I haven't had anything to say, maybe I just haven't had anything meaningful enough to ME to say it (sounds selfish but I just haven't felt inspired).
Then in talking about the New Year, my daughter asked what a "New Year's Revolution" was. I corrected her that the word is "Resolution" but then thought about it. What my life needs right now isn't another resolution - what I need to jump start my year is a Revolution - "a dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way something works or is organized or in people's ideas about it".
I checked my email this morning and there it was: an invitation from Stacy to join her 31 Days of Self Care game/challenge. Finally some inspiration! For the next 31 days, starting today, I'm going to do something (large or small) to benefit my own self care. I'll be posting each day here on my blog (check back later today for what I chose to do today to get things started). Anyone care to play along? Learn more about it here.
Stacy is also going to be offering a book salon where participants will read Take Time for Your Life, by Cheryl Richardson. As luck should have it, as I was moving my office to a different location in my home this week, I found my copy behind some other books on my shelf. Time to dust it off for a refresher :-)
Stay tuned - let the REVOLUTION begin!

Out of the mouths of granddaughters. Revolution - love it!
